Position Summary

We’re looking for a Junior Games Writer to join the Product Team of our successful igaming studio. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career copywriter to develop their writing skills across both technical and creative domains, working closely with senior team members to instil excitement into our games and to accurately describe our products to technical and creative stakeholders.

You’ll be responsible for crafting clear, engaging, fun, and original content for new gambling games, including in-game messaging, marketing copy, technical documentation, and help files for players and operators. This is a fully remote position that would suit a candidate able to follow UK working hours.

This entry-level position is ideal for a writer with a passion for gaming and the desire to develop their skills in writing for a wide variety of audiences. As part of this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience of product development, learn from industry experts, and have a meaningful impact on how our games are presented to a global audience.

Position Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation and presentations for new and existing games.
  • Write engaging, imaginative copy for game marketing, splash screens, paytables, and other in-game content to captivate players.
  • Write help files for players that are both accessible and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Create and maintain organised documents of in-game text for translation and localisation.
  • Support the Product Director to define and describe game feature flows and mechanics.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, feature planning, and product reviews to contribute ideas and feedback.

Key Requirements

  • Exceptional written English to a native level, with strong attention to grammar, clarity, and tone.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly language.
  • Talent for writing lively, engaging, and informative marketing copy.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Game Design, or similar)

Other Skills

The right candidate may also have some of the following skills and interests:

  • A genuine interest in gambling (online or otherwise), games of chance, and game statistics.
  • Evidence of personal projects, such as a writing portfolio, personal websites, or similar.
  • Passion for games of all types, from video games to board games and everything in between.
